Portman Launches new suite of traveller tracking products

Portman, one of the UK’s largest independent Travel Management Companies has announced the launch of its own, custom-made range of traveller tracking products, “SafeTrack”, with full integration into both the Portman App and the Portman Trip Planner, its interactive itinerary product.

The SafeTrack product range has three levels that enable the customer to track their travellers, with the standard option providing interactive search, mapping, trip interrogation and audit functionality. The second tier option, “SafeTrack Plus”, allows customers to communicate directly with their employees through a CMS system that sends Text, Push and Email notifications. In addition, travellers can keep in touch with their office at all times through a GPS check in facility on the Portman App. SafeTrack Plus also integrates advice and alerts from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). The highest level of the new product range is “SafeTrack Connect”, which integrates rich risk management content and alert management from industry leader iJet.

Developed with long-time partner Mantic Point, this new suite of products gives Portman’s customers a full range of options to manage all of their duty of care requirements. Traveller safety management is now recognised as one of the top three priorities for all companies in their provision of services through a TMC.

Steve Allen, Portman’s CEO commented: “Feedback from our customers clearly demonstrated the need for further innovation with duty of care solutions, so we have developed SafeTrack based on our customers’ range of requirements from simple tracking products to full risk management. Responses to this initiative have been excellent and we are now rolling out the SafeTrack range across our customer base.”

Portman recently won two major awards at the 2016 Business Travel Awards for Best Travel Management Company and Best Technology Product for PortmanOne.
