MILLENNIUM HOTEL COMPLETES MULTI MILLION POUND REFURBISHMENT ON ICONIC NEW YORK HOTEL

Millennium Hotels and Resorts has announced it has completed the renovations to its North American flagship hotel, the iconic ONE UN New York.

Originally designed by award winning architect, Kevin Roche, the hotel first opened its doors in 1976 and has since welcomed some of the world’s greatest leaders.

The hotel has been redesigned by interior designers Didier Gomez Interiors and DYAMI Architecture PC, to offer more space for guests in its 439 guest rooms and suites, characterised by warm bronze and taupe hues, creating a luxurious calm and relaxing environment for guests to escape the buzz of the city.

The new concept of the hotel has a particular focus on front-of-house improvements and upgraded facilities, improving the overall experiences for guests. The facilities onsite at the hotel include meeting rooms, event spaces and the Ambassador Grill Restaurant Bar and Grill.

The hidden gem of the hotel is the Skyline Club, perched on the 30th floor offering stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. With a relaxing environment and exclusive services for guests, it’s an ideal location for a casual business meeting or an escape to enjoy some time alone to relax and catch up with work.

The £58 million refurbishment offers panoramic views of Manhattan and the East River and is located close to the world’s most iconic landmarks, including the International United Nations Headquarter.

The hotel is also just a stone’s throw from popular tourist destinations for business travellers to explore if they have a few hours to spare, including Broadway Theatre district and Times Square, making it an ideal location for those who wish to mix business with pleasure.

Paul Rene Lee, General Manager of ONE UN New York, commented: “We are delighted with the outcome of the recent renovation to ONE UN New York. The complete transformation is a testament to our concerted effort to ensure that our guest experience remains unparalleled, without having compromised the rich history and heritage of the hotel.”

Colin Wang, Vice President of Operations, North America continued: “The renovation of ONE UN New York demonstrates our commitment to continued investment in our portfolio of hotels in North America. The renovations completed to date support our goal to maintain our high reputation among discerning travellers, and to become the hotel of choice in the markets we have a presence in.”
